Allied Filters Pakistan
Manufacturer of auto filters
Oil, Air, Fuel
Purpose and Scope of the industry
The purpose and scope of' this project is very vast. The report covers the feasibility study of the filter parts (oil and air) of the vehicles and secondly it gives us the practical exposure of the real world to go in the field and apply our skills what we have studied in theory and by the careful judgment and keen observation develop a feasibility report for the said industry. Managing time and money is one of the key factors, which we always kept in our mind and have tried to minimize the cost and finished it in time.
Introduction of the Base Industry
In the current fast moving era of the world, the most important thing to consider pacing oneself is the technology. Thanks to the advancements in the technology today we are living such comfortable lives and one of the most important factor of our calm and happy living is our smart cars, public transports etc. With the help of such mechanisms, we are able to move from place to place in a fast and efficient manner. Cars, buses, trucks or in general, any kind of transport mechanism has become so important that without this we cannot find ourselves to pace with the modern day activities. For any mechanism to work efficiently it is necessary that it is built with proper accuracy and all the parts and sub-parts necessary for its working are there in the right place. One such thing for a vehicle about which our project is about is also an essential component of vehicle, without this vehicle cannot work properly.
People are becoming more quality conscious so continuous improvements are being done in this industry to satisfy' the ever growing needs of the customers.
The bench marked industry under our consideration was the Allied Filters and first the brief discussion of the base industry as follows.
Current Industry Structure - Allied Filters
Allied Filters an established name in the market for their superior performance was founded by the father of Dr. Khalid Mehmood, Haji Muhammad Ismail in 1984.

Introduction of the Product
Product Line
Allied Filters is currently manufacturing three types of automobile filters, which are as follows:
Oil Filters, Air Filters& Fuel Filters
Oil Filters:
An oil filter is a device used to decontaminate oil that contains suspended impurities. A major application is in forming part of the lubrication system of engines in which filters are typically detachable units due to the need for regular service or replacement. The filtration of oil in engines is essential for enhancing longevity and performance.
A chief use of the oil filter is in the reciprocating engine, typically found in automobiles and light aircraft and various rival vessels. Vehicles may have automatic transmission or demanding gearboxes that benefit from an oil filter. Additionally turbine engines, such as those on jet aircraft, require the use of oil filters. Multitudes of industrial applications, such as mining equipment, generators, metalworking machinery, make use of oil filtration in some form. Of course, the oil-production, oil-transmission, and oil-recycling industries themselves employ filters. Oil Filters are replaced after every 3,000 to 5,000 KM.
Air Filters:
An air filter is a device, which removes contaminants, often-solid particulates such as dust, pollen, mold, and bacteria from air. Air filters are used in application where air quality is important, notably in building ventilation systems and in engines, such as internal combustion engines, gas compressors, diving air compressors, gas turbines and others.
The combustion air filter prevents abrasive particulate matter from entering the engine's cylinders, where it would cause mechanical wear and oil contamination.
Fuel Filters:
Most modern fuel-injected vehicles use a pleated paper filter clement in the form of a flat panel. This filter is usually laced inside a plastic box connected to the throttle body with a large pipe.
Older vehicles that use carburetors or throttle body fuel injection typically use a cylindrical air filter, usually a few inches high and between 6 and 16 inches in diameter. This is positioned above the carburetor or throttle body, usually in a metal or plastic container, which may incorporate ducting to provide cool and/or warm inlet air, and secured with a metal or plastic lid. Air filters are usually replaced after about 5,000 KM.
